Kalaba Writes Pres. Lungu Over Gold Rash

Democratic Congress leader Harry Kalaba has written to President Edgar Lungu disapproving the partnership between ZCCM-IH and Karma Limited to set up a gold processing plant worth US $ 3.5.

Kalaba, a former foreign affairs minister, says Zambians deserve ownership of the private sector economy and hopes that government will facilitate $3.5 million dollars for Zambian equity partners.

And UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema has advised ZCCM-IH to float 2.3 million shares on the stock exchange to allow Zambia have exclusive ownership.

And Centre for Trade Policy and Development Researcher Webby Banda has urged government to put systems in place to ensure citizens maximize on the natural resource.
