UPND MPs Deny Selling Out

| | ,

Six United Party for National Development – UPND members have denied media allegations that they have been bought by the ruling Patriotic Front to support the constitutional amendment bill number 10 of 2019.

Mazabuka Central Member of Parliament Garry Nkombo who is among the accused says information that they have been paid $100,000 to mutilate the constitution is false.

Nkombo says the intention of the media reports have been created by PF merely to divert the public’s attention from serious issues affecting the nation.

He insists that the party will not support the bill once it is brought before parliament.

But Patriotic Front Media Director Sunday Chanda says UPND members have lost interest in the party due to alleged selfish leadership.

Chanda has stated the Patriotic Front has not and will not buy any Member of Parliament to support the constitution amendment bill
