National Democratic Congress leader Chishimba Kambwili says he is ready to go to bed with the UPND despite warnings the marriage of convenience will bruise his political career.
Former UPND vice-president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has cautioned Kambwili on the alliance with Hichilema.
GBM, as Mwamba is commonly known, was sidelined by the UPND top brass and later suspended before he jumped ship to return to the PF.
He tells Kambwili to learn from his experience.
But Kambwili says he is ready to join hands with UPND, a party he has chastised in the past.
The former Roan MP states that he has so far worked very well with Hichilema and the “rainbow alliance” with other small and unknown political parties.
Kambwili says his alliance with the UPND will be based on the will of the Zambian people ahead of the 2021 general elections.
Kambwili served the PF as Chief Government spokesperson before he fell out of favour with the top brass.
