Five time losing presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema has received yet another challenge from President Edgar Lungu.
Meanwhile, President Lungu has opted to stay out of arguments with wayward former Roan PF MP Chishimba Kambwili stating it will be difficult for people to distinguish a difference.
Kambwili has been on rampage attacking Pres. Lungu and at one campaign rally accused the Head of State of maintaining presidential affairs minister Freedom Sikazwe because his was a witch doctor.
During his arrival on the Copperbelt yesterday where he is on a three day working visit, President Lungu said he will not be provoked into an altercation of insults.
President Lungu said he will not respond to provocative statements being thrown to him by some known opposition leaders.
President Lungu said no amount of insults will provoke him to answer back observing that he will rise above them as a gesture deemed as being the bigger man.
President Lungu said if he dared to respond he would be equating himself to such ‘low’ characters.
President Lungu also said he is happy there has been no form of violence that has been recorded in the Roan Parliamentary by-election campaigns so far.
President Lungu has urged the Patriotic Front (PF) leadership in the province to ensure that no violence is registered as he will hold them accountable should any kind of violence be noticed during the campaigns.
